Artist Valentina Bilbao participates in Venice in “Personal Structures: Open Borders” at the Palazzo Bembo as an official part of the 57th Venice Biennale. ,May 13-Nov 26/ 2017
Valentina Bilbao is a visual artist. Born in Caracas, Venezuela, from a very young age she discovered her love of painting, drawing and poetry, she dedicated herself learning new techniques that allowed her to further develop her artistic skills. She felt the need to convey her knowledge, and created the Drawing and Painting Workshop “Brushstrokes”, which had children and youth of different ages. Valentina continued to dabble in art and received more training at the School of Visual Arts while at the same time she studied Psychology.
Her artwork captures a full and complete expression of emotions; joy, passion and love with spontaneity, energy and strength through a wide range of colors, textures, shapes and figures making all of her artwork comprehensive and rich in content. In addition her artwork has balance and harmony, which is the result of all the elements in the right proportions coming alive and maintaining a constant motion.
Color is the main character of her work and which all other elements are combined. This technique is the result of admiration and study different movements of art, which shows an extraordinary capacity for synthesis and integration.
